Recently opened Longview Farm & Event Center in Edmeston will host a wedding show and open house from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 21 to unveil the newly built venue and introduce a number of wedding service and event providers to the public.

Brothers Mark and Matt Tuller - owners of Tuller's Catering and Party Service and Tuller's Septic and Excavation, respectively - spent over a year bringing their newest venture, Longview Farm & Event Center, to fruition.

The public will have the opportunity to visit the venue, located on nine-acres of land at 226 Long View Drive in Edmeston, and meet a number of wedding and event service providers from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 21. An open house featuring refreshments and live music will follow the wedding show from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

"We did it so we have everything we need right on-site," said Mark Tuller, adding that the event center has a kitchen, a bar, 10 bathroom stalls, a sound system, a back-up generator, and more all on one level, making for a simplified and handicapped accessible venue. The venue also comes complete with tables, chairs, linens, a dance floor, glassware and bar equipment, and heaters.

"We tried to think of as many things as we could ahead of time just because I've been in business 11, going on 12 years, and you see all the good and all the bad at other places you go to. So we tried to learn from some other people's mistakes and the good things they did and make our own."

The Tuller brothers bought the property, perched on a hill in the backroads of Edmeston, in July 2017 after Mark said he spent years looking for the right spot.

"We stumbled upon this one day and we came up and looked at it, and the next day we called the realtor and bought it," said Mark Tuller. "It was on the market for not very long and we were worried it was going to go quick with the view and stuff and we just got lucky with the timing of it."

Set in a barn complete with removable glass windows, a side patio, and a mason-jar and wagon-wheel chandelier, Longview Farm & Event Center is a destination for weddings, graduation parties, birthday parties, retirement parties, banquets, and more, said Mark.

Over a dozen wedding and event service providers including DJs, florists, bakers, transportation services providers (including horse drawn carriage), caterers, photographers, videographers, and more will be at Longview Farm & Event Center for the wedding show on October 21.

Mark said the ultimate goal is to eventually offer packages with some of these providers for wedding and events in an effort to minimize the burden of stress and planning on their customers. He said, "Our ultimate plan is to down the road have packages where somebody can show up and we do everything for them."

In the near future, Mark said Longview Farm & Event Center will add a house on-site for brides to be able to stay the night and spend the whole weekend of their wedding.

We had the honor of being the first wedding at Longview Farm. Mark and Matt Tuller have out did themselves with this venue. It has it all; ample space, rustic elegance, amazing staff, professionalism and VIEWS!! The venue patio was the perfect setting for our ceremony with the backdrop of the picturesque valley. We had lucky wedding rain and the patio kept us all dry but still allowed us to capture the fall foliage and fog settling in the mountains. Inside the venue they were able to accommodate seating for our 165+ guest with plenty of room for a cocktail area, dance floor and still not feel crowded like many other venues. The high ceilings are adorned with a picture perfect mason jar chandelier and other lighting. There is also ample ventilation with fans and full height barn doors at two ends. The full length of windows allows for the view from every angle in the venue (not to mention the sunset that you get to see). The restrooms are amazing! Rustic touches with all the modern necessities. The huge bar is a great place for guests to gather and gives enough room to have several bartenders on staff so no one is waiting to get a drink. The huge fully stocked kitchen was extremely convenient and made for excellent preparation of Tuller's amazing food!

You would never have known our wedding was the first with how seamlessly it was run and how low stress it was. I highly recommend Mark and Matt to any couple looking for the perfect venue for their wedding or any special event.
